In your response, reflect on an experience you have had in an argument where either you or the other person used a logical fallacy in your reasoning. You should be able to quote specifically where the logical fallacy was applied and explain the general basis of the argument topic, including both stances. If it happened online (and is appropriate for the class), you can even share screenshots from the discussion. Additionally, you must define what fallacy was used and draw quotes from the readings to support this definition. While you are writing your response, consider these questions: what was the purpose of this argument? Was it to “win” and convince your opponent to change their mind? Or was it to gain a better understanding of the topic and learn from someone who thinks differently than you?
