In this discussion, each student will find a unique recent discovery
(within last four years) about development biology. Students cannot use
the same discovery as another student. If the discovery has previously
be posted in this Canvas discussion, it is taken. The student who posts
the discovery will explain how this discovery relates to one of the
major questions in developmental biology. They will provide a link to
the primary source of the discovery, usually a peer-reviewed journal
article. If available, they will also provide a link to a science news
article about the discovery. I have provided an example of a discussion
post in the discussion below, which accomplishes this.
In
addition to posting on a discovery, each student is expected to comment
on the posts of three other students. Sources of literature about
developmental biology include peer-reviewed scientific journals such as:
Development | The Company of Biologists
Developmental Biology | Journal | ScienceDirect.com by Elsevier
