In this assignment you will be using primary sources and secondary sources to identify and exhibit, critical thinking, communication, personal and social responsibility. 
Required
Essay must be 3-5 pages in length.  ( ½  page is not a page)
Essay must include a works cited page, with MLA formatted listings of 1 Primary source and 2 Secondary sources.    Described below.
( cannot count as one of the required pages)
You must use original words, and quote sources accordingly   The paper will be run  through turn-itin.
Your paper will address issues in Texas policies and Texas Government.
Choose from one of the Topics and answer the following questions in your essay.  Do not forget to use the research to answer the questions,
What does the issue or Bill deal with?
How does the issue or Bill effect your life, as well as others?
How would you deal with this issue if you were a State Representative? 
What type of Bill would be required to either support and protect citizens, or deny any request for assistance or need for change.
How do you deal with the issue as a voter in the State?
How would you deal with the issue as the Governor?  Veto?
Discuss the History behind the issue. 
Compare the outcome of the issue to what could occur at the National level after Texas makes the decision addressing the                         issue.
Would the State Supreme Court get involved?
Identify key alternatives to the issue, or Bill.

Secondary Sources are one step removed from primary sources, though they often quote or otherwise use primary sources. They can cover the same topic, but add a layer of interpretation and analysis. Secondary sources can include:

Scholarly or other articles about a topic, especially by people not directly involved.
Documentaries (though they often include photos or video portions that can be considered primary sources).
