In an attempt to gain insight into the relationship between reality, theory, and portrayal in criminal justice,
students will choose one of the following activities to complete during the term and will submit short
typewritten reports on each activity completed. I would like to do the Go to the Movies: Crime is big on the silver screen and the television as well. Here you need to
choose two (2) criminal justice-related movies which you have not seen to compare and contrast.
Written Activity Reports must be submitted after an activity is completed. Each report should contain the
following elements.
(1) A content summary of what you have created, watched, or read.
(2) A reality index which represents an analysis of the activity: What went on that you expected or
that you did not expect? How close to reality was the material that you have watched, read, or created? How did the portions of the activity done relate to what has been covered in the classroom? Please be very specific in your discussion of the concepts from the class lessons.
(3) A general assessment of what you thought about the activity: Your personal feelings, reactions, etc. including how the activity enhanced your learning. Activity reports need not be long but must be typed and have sufficiently covered the 3 content areas
mentioned above and should be submitted on time. Papers must be double spaced. Please complete this.
