Attached please find the completed assignment 8.1. Please use that and maybe the pdf scene to answer the 3 below questions.
This is preliminary assignment intended to help you get started with writing your Individual Creative Thinking Project theatrical scene. There will be another assignment for the actual scene itself. t

The scene can be whatever you want it to be…  any genre, any style (theatrical/film/tv). It can be set anywhere you like, with any characters. It can be realistic, abstract or fantastical. It can be set in the desert, outer space, underwater, in a rainforest, a city street, your home, on a bus, in a car, on the beach….

The only requirement is that your scene connect in a meaningful and valuable way with your Individual Creative Thinking Project theme.

Please respond to this assignment with written answers to Questions 1, 2, and 3 (below).

Scenario, Characters & Conflict:
Think about your Individual Creative Thinking Project theme. When you think of the theme, what kind of conversations, situations and scenarios come to mind? What aspect of your project theme would you like your characters to explore? Is there a central conflict inherent in your theme?
Perhaps you can consider how your project’s theme manifests in people’s lives, in people’s experience. Consider a core human impact of your project’s theme and build from there.

You can also imagine (perhaps) an interesting scenario or context you’d like to explore that seems, at first, unrelated to your theme… and then figure out how to make it connected to your theme.

If your theme were the subject of a feature film or theatrical play (abstract or realistic), what might be a compelling moment in that story?

NOTE: When imagining the scenario, consider that while the theme of your project should be clearly present in the scene, it does not necessarily have to be the whole topic conversation.
Consider if you want the characters to “explain” or “talk about” the subject, or perhaps interact as in daily life, while manifesting the theme, or some aspect of the theme. In other words, your characters can talk about the main theme directly, or you can create a scenario in which they are clearly engaged with the theme… living within it, but do not necessarily fully explain it. The theme is “hinted at” to various degrees.

Of course, your scene can combine these two approaches. And it might be awesome to tackle a challenging topic “head on” within a compelling human context.
Question 1: Tell me, in a few sentences, what your general scenario context will/might be. In addition to helping me understand “what’s happening” in the scene, think about location, time, and atmosphere… If you have a few thoughts, feel free to share a few of them with me.
Question 2: Why are the characters talking/interacting at this time? Is there a central problem/opportunity/shared need that brings them together now? What is the central tension and opportunity for resolution? Does one character want something form another character? How do they go about getting it?

Question 3: Describe your characters in one or two sentences for me. The characters can be fictional, based on real people, or some combination. One of the characters can be based (wholly or in part) on yourself.
