Implementing, Communicating, and Evaluating a Strategic Plan
Overview
For the final project in this course, you are developing an enterprise-wide strategic plan for managing patient engagement with mobile applications. This project is substantial, and to develop a high-quality submission, you will be working on pieces of the project throughout the course. In your previous milestones, you developed an introduction, data management and data governance policies and procedures, a strategic model for managing the revenue cycle, and privacy and security procedures. Now, in your third milestone, you will submit a draft of the Implementation Plan, Communication Plan, and Evaluation Plan sections of the final project. Use the discussion in Module Six to help you begin thinking about this assignment.
Directions
In this milestone, you will develop an implementation plan, communication plan, and evaluation for the overall enterprise-wide strategic plan. Refer to the Final Project Case Study in the Supporting Materials section to complete this milestone.
Specifically, you must address the following rubric criteria:
Implementation Plan: In this section, you will outline the implementation plan for the mobile application and developed policies and procedures. In addition, you will develop strategies for collaborating with key stakeholders across the enterprise and approaches for leveraging organizational assets to support the plan.
Determine the key steps of the implementation plan, outlining the relevant stakeholders present at each stage and the estimated timeline.
Develop strategies to effectively collaborate with departments and stakeholders in the enterprise to effectively implement the strategic plan and promote the organization’s strategic goals.
Develop approaches to leverage the organization’s assets to effectively implement the plan across the organization.
Assess effective change management practices in promoting the organization’s strategic goals.
Communication Plan: In this section, you will develop a communication plan that fosters collaboration with the various stakeholders by addressing the following:
Develop approaches to communicate to patients how the mobile application and patient portal assist the healthcare organization in complying with value-based reimbursement regulations, providing relevant research and data.
Determine the strategies necessary to obtain buy-in from key leadership, ensure collaboration and communication across the enterprise, and guide the enterprise through the change.
Develop approaches to ensure all internal and external stakeholders are adequately trained and informed on their relevant elements of the strategic plan.
Evaluation Plan: In this section, you will develop an evaluation plan to measure the success of your strategic plan and drive planning and decision making in the enterprise-wide organization. An effective evaluation plan will address the following:
Develop measurable outcomes.
Determine the appropriate methodologies to collect the data necessary to effectively measure the outcomes. Also, determine the technologies that can be used to facilitate these methodologies.
Explain how the data gathered will drive planning and decision making in the enterprise-wide organization.
What to Submit
Your draft of the Implementation Plan, Communication Plan, and Evaluation Plan sections must be approximately 4 to 6 pages in length and must be written in APA format. Use double spacing, 12-point Times New Roman font, and one-inch margins. Sources should be cited according to APA style.
