IMPLEMENTATION PAPER
This assignment is a written individual paper. Based on a client situation created by the student. the student will give a presenting problem and description of the client, propose a change-oriented plan and reflect on how the social worker can help. We are
going to assume that this is a voluntary client who is motivated to change and to work with you the
social worker.
The student must conduct brief research and find two
credible sources that discuss practice with individuals with the problems they are assessing. The textbook can be utilized as one of the sources.
The paper must incorporate concepts and standpoints learned in class and the textbook chapters.
The paper should include each of these sections with the respective heading(subtitle):
Introduction
Description:
1. Client Description (demographics, ethnicity, race, spiritual orientation, immigration status,
family composition and history, etc. as available – one paragraph)
2. Client-in-situation (presenting concern or problem):
a. What is the concern/problem presented by the client(s)?
b. How did the problem originate according to the client?
Implementation (Change-Oriented Plan)
1. Write a few paragraphs in which you discuss two of the credible sources used and come up with goals to help the client. Begin this section with your comments on how the article helped you to understand the case and come up with goals.
2. Based on your learning form the articles and textbook readings:
a. Identify three goals that you would propose to the client to help them with presenting
concern(s) or problem(s). Identify 2-3 objectives with reasonable timelines, and how you would evaluate success.
b. Write a paragraph about your role in this case; how you could help the client achieve the
goals.
