I’m working on a theater writing question and need a sample draft to help me learn.
You are to write 2 completely different reviews, each review should be 2 full pages, typed properly (MLA, make sure there are no spelling and grammatical errors
– MAKE SURE TO SAVE IT AS A PDF BEFORE UPLOADING) for each. I DO NOT want a synopsis
– do not tell me what the play is about. I want your specific criticism, what did you think about the play, be specific, you are to cite the names of the actors, director, producer, designer… tell me about whatever you liked and disliked.
Talk about the design (lighting, sound), or production value, the writer (did his/her theme connect to you), the director’s concept (did his/her tone drive the central theme, what did you not like, why, and how would you have done it… I want everything we learned in class and from Cohen’s book.
The last paragraph should be as if you’re a New York Times critic, is the show worth my time and money, highlight the good points and the bad.
