The format for case analysis is as follows:
–The written analysis of each case should not include a summary of the case; rather, it should focus on the ethical issue(s) to be addressed. The statement of the issue should be concise but clear in identifying the problem.
–The written material should address the five following approaches (in separate sections of the paper) to ethical analysis, followed by your position regarding the issue(s).
The five ethical approaches are these:
Utilitarian – do the greatest good for the greatest number
Universal duties – should not adopt principles of action unless they can, without
inconsistency, be adopted by everyone else
Conventionalists – further self-interest without violating the law
Distributive Justice – determine a fair method for distributing goods and services
Golden Rule – do unto others as you would have them do unto you.
–Recommendation – Take a position regarding the issue(s).
Also answer these questions in the analysis: In what ways does Tesla address the interests of its stakeholders through its corporate socail responsibility strategy?
What ethical issues has tesla faced? What ethical issues is tesla likely to face in the future?
What environmental issues do tesla products work to address?
