This final written assignment for the course will showcase your learning from the semester. It can also serve as a personal career road map as you continue your academic journey
Assignment Instructions:
1. Students will compose a formal paper. The paper will include the following:
A discussion of the student’s learning about their own interests in human services
A description of the student’s assessment of their strengths and areas needing strengthening, (weaknesses)
A description of the special population(s) and setting(s) which most interests the student and a discuss of why it captures the student’s attention.
A description of the student’s dream job in human services. Include a desired job title, the location (if a city/state is preferred or address rural, inner-city, etc.), setting and even the agency or organization name. Describe the daily duties of the position, which they would enjoy and those routines they might not prefer and how they might cope. Identify the expected salary, and requirements to qualify for the job – education, skills, any additional training.
2. The paper must follow APA formatting and must document at least 2 peer-reviewed resources beyond the use of the textbook. Remember to use in-text citations and include a complete references list.
3. Follow all standard composition conventions (introduction, conclusion, section headings) as well as proper grammar, spelling, etc.
4. Word count requirements are 1200-1500 words (4-5 pages, excluding title and reference pages).
