Purpose Statement
The purpose of this memo-styled recorded presentation is for students to utilize high-level technology to communicate their reflections of activities
that they participated in to achieve mastery of the course learning outcomes. The memo format will include a discussion of the advantages,
disadvantages and evaluation of the current use/s of information and/or technology and on their nursing practice and patient outcomes. Students
will gain experience in developing a professional presentation that can be accessed on the internet and viewed asynchronously.
Step 1:
Review all course required readings and assignments. Pay particular attention to your reflective journal (including course materials), which
contains much of the information you will need for your digital audio memo.
Step 2:
Prepare a written outline (Word Doc) of your 5 to 7 minute MAXIMUM audio presentation that covers the points in the purpose of this assignment
(above) and the grading rubric
Step 3:
Create a set of PowerPoint slides that clearly and concisely address the purpose of this assignment and the grading rubric. Students use their Zoom
Account or to record this assignment. As always, you must include a title slide and APA formatted reference slide.
Step 4:
Upload the outline (Word Doc) and URL link for recorded digital video memo to LiveText.
Format
The outline should be submitted as a Word document and the digital video memo is submitted as a URL Link

Identify the current uses of information, patient care, and decision-support system technology in health care delivery.
Differentiate the roles of information, patient care, and decision-support system technologies in improving patient care outcomes and creating a safe care environment.
Describe ethical standards related to data security, regulatory requirements, confidentiality, and clients’ right to privacy.
Contrast the advantages and disadvantages of using information, patient care, and decision-support system technologies.
Evaluate the current uses of technology and how it affects nursing practice and patient outcomes.
