Choose a fictional child character.
The child MUST be fictional, but can be from any work of fiction: book, movie, tv show, graphic novel, video game, short story, poem, comic strip, song, whatever.
Identify the child, the fictional source the character came from, and some relevant background biographical information (age, family structure, sociocultural factors, whatever you deem relevant).
Give an overview of the sorts of behaviors and capacities you would expect to see from a child of this age.
Then discuss this child in terms of physical, cognitive, and social/emotional development. Is the child typical for his or her age?
Is this a realistic depiction of a child of this age? What genetic, cultural, environmental, family and other factors may have influenced this child’s developmental trajectory? Are there any areas of concern regarding the child’s development? If so, are there steps that should be taken to address these concerns?
This is not supposed to be a research paper — rather, it is a chance for you to apply knowledge of child development to a particular (fictional) child. This should be your original thoughts, ideas, and writing. However, to the extent you are relying on a source other than yourself, you must cite your sources, following APA student paper format.
If any part of the paper is plagiarized, you will get a zero for the assignment. For your information, I am the final judge of plagiarism, not Safe

Finally, while your ideas are the most important component, your writing is also a component. Write well, be grammatical, check your spelling, and for the love of my sanity, proofread!!!! You will lose points for a poorly written paper, even if your ideas are absolutely brilliant. And frankly, I won’t know your ideas are brilliant if I cannot make sense of your paper due to writing deficiencies.
