Selecting the right candidate for staffing efforts can seem sometimes impossible, even when you narrow the selection down to two or three “perfect” matches. Qualified candidates who actually apply to the positions can be a true blessing; however, the decisions on who to select can take some strategy, on the part of the hiring managers (Heneman, Judge, & Kammeyer, 2015).
For this assignment, you are required to identify hiring standards for candidate selection as well as effective decision making for hiring these candidates. Chapters 11 and 12, in the textbook, should be used as a guide to aide you towards the completion of this assignment.
This paper will be included in your handbook that you are creating for your final.
In your paper, along with the introduction and conclusion, you will need to include the following concepts (the inclusion of the sub-titles are a requirement):
Hiring Standards
a. What signifies as a qualified candidate?
Methods of Identifying Final Choice (what method will you use for narrowing down the candidates?)

b. Ranking
c. Grouping
d. Ongoing hiring
Decision Making Efforts
a. Who will participate in the hiring decisions (HR professionals, hiring managers, VP, etc.)?

This paper should be at least 12-15 pages in length and should meet APA guidelines (double-spacing, title page, etc.). Please note that the title, abstract, table of contents, and reference page do not count towards page count. At least five online university library sources should be used in conjunction with the textbook (a total of six).
