In light of the gender and education in global context theme, and COVID-19, let’s focus this week on developing a reading list on how COVID-19 may be affecting gender equality and education in sometimes gendered ways. Begin by reading the article attached (Lewis Article). Identify at least one additional resource on how the COVID-19 Pandemic is challenging or creating new opportunities for feminism and/or gender equality and education. The additional resource may be a news article, blog, report, journal article, policy document, cartoon, etc. from anywhere in the world. It can focus on boys or girls, men or women, non-binary people. I particularly encourage finding something working at the intersection of gender, race-ethnicity, class, global location! Then share your resource with the class in a discussion post. Along with your resource, prepare a lengthier post (at least five paragraphs including APA citations from the course, including your resource) about how it relates to the readings this week (Unterhalter Paper and Adcock Paper). Provide your analysis of how COVID-19 may be reshaping gender equality and education, and leave us with a question to consider.
