In Chapter 1, Santrock indicates that something needs to be done to improve the education of our children. He continues to say that the biological, cognitive, and socioemotional areas of development are all interrelated and cannot be separated. In Chapter 10, Santrock discusses temperament and the link between parenting and temperament.
(1) Identify and describe in detail three suggestions for improving the educational opportunities of our children.
(2) Then, based on the interrelatedness of all three areas (e.g., biological, cognitive, and socioemotional) of development, defend the perspective that schools should or should not consider individual temperament types when interacting with children.
(3) Make sure you use your textbook and/or any other additional references to substantiate your answer.
