The objective of this assignment:

Future Scan Assignment Directions – The Final
The paper/presentation will:
Have a content section that is approximately 4-5 pages
Draw from scholarly sources* (at least 3) to support the importance of future concept along with at least 3 implications to health care administration and management. (*scholarly sources implies peer-reviewed journals)
Identify and briefly discuss an administrative/managerial response to the future concept.
The paper will NOT:
Summarize the Future Scan report. Rather, it will draw on main themes with the student’s additional analysis and discussion — drawing on course materials and scholarly sources.
Paper Sections:
Introduction / Futurist Concept Identification
An overview of the futurist concept will be presented along with the organization of your paper/presentation.
The rationale for the futurist concept selection is articulated clearly and the importance in health care is established.
The significance of why the concept was chosen should be explained.
The general impacts on administrative/managerial practice are identified
Body / Concept Analysis
The possible impacts of the concept are identified and attributed to the organizational units/structure.
The impacts identified are supported through scholarly research and sources.
The potential responses of health care organizations are identified. Essentially explaining why the concept is very important to consider.
There is a well-balanced discussion between the student’s analysis and data drawn from the literature. The student’s position is strengthened by including specific data points.
The particular topics of cost, access and quality are interwoven into the discussion, as it relates to the chosen futurist concept.
