I uploaded my photo, I’m currently employed as a Care Coordinator for 11 years at a Health Home located in the South Bronx. I provide services to the homeless, substance use disorder) Medical (Chronic diagnosis), and Person with Mental Illness.
I’m taking this class, not only because I need it to graduate, however I would like to explore the complex relationship between women and the workforce throughout American history. By investigating this course, particular queries might come up, such as:
What changes in cultural conceptions have women’s positions in the workforce undergone over history?
What obstacles did women have to overcome in order to find and keep jobs during important junctures in American history?
In what ways did the labor movement impact gender dynamics in the workplace?
How have race and class intersected with gender, influencing women’s experiences in various occupational fields?
What role did women play in shaping labor laws and policies throughout history?
These questions aim to foster a comprehensive understanding of the complex and evolving dynamics between women and work in American history.
