Instructions:
REFLECTION ESSAY: Students will write a 5-7 page reflection essay on their own individual religious and/or spiritual perspectives and behaviors (or lack thereof). Essays should describe personal attitudes, beliefs, and behaviors/practices, and be informed by the relevant dimensions of religiosity and spirituality as discussed in class. Essays will be graded according to the clarity and coherence of articulated perspectives. Students should feel free to discuss their own values and behaviors, as they see fit, but will need to demonstrate that their perspectives are well reasoned and logically consistent (not full of logical fallacies or contradictions).
Personal statement about where I stand religiously to help you write this paper:
My entire family is religious and define as Catholic so I grew up Catholic as well and still am to this day. I believe in God and Heaven and Hell and majorty of the other beliefs that come along with being a Catholic. Growing up, all throughout elementary, middle school, and high school I went to church every week. Ever since attending college though I haven’t been back to church just because of where my college is located and I’m not familiar with any churches in the area either. It’s also hard with how busy I get with school work. I do attend Bible study two days a week every week though, which is also known as Kingdom Club here at my university. I do my best to pray every morning when I wake up and every night before I go to bed, as well as read my bible and journal a bit about what im going over and my thoughts on it in that moment. Sometimes I do forget to though or just get to busy with school to make time for it. I say a prayer every time before I eat as well just because that’s something I always did growing up and I still prefer to do it before each meal. With that being said, I defnitely have had my fair share of doubts and moments where I struggled to trust in my faith. Mainly just because of stuff I’ve been through and trauma and also just finding it difficult to find the purpose in everyday tragedies that occur for seemingly no reason at all. When I find myself in states like this though, I pray about it and remind my self that even though it all may not makes sense, God has a reason for doing what he does.
– I want the format to be APA 7th addition and you can come up with the title as well. Hopefully the personal information above about where I stand religiously and everything helps. That way you don’t have to make up everything and have something to go off of. You can for sure add more though since not much is there. Just build off of that. I’d prefer there not to be any grammatical errors as well. This needs to be a well-written unviersity level paper. No citations are needed. I need it done by 11:59am today, April 21, 2024. This essay is also for my Psychology of Religion and Spirituality class.
