I needed to observe a work meeting and answer the following questions. They need to be expanded on and put into an essay. i have attached the text books that needs to be cited.

Part II: Group Processes
Which of the 4 basic groups is this? Explain. Task Group
What are some of the norms of the group? (please get the answer from the textbooks)
Was the group screened? No
What type of leadership did you see? (see chapter 2)
Describe, relevant to counseling, key observations from the session. This could include 2 -3 of the following:
Did you observe any ‘difficult’ individuals? There was a co-worker that was being difficult as she was not being clear when she would be asked questions.
Where the goals of the group clear? my supervisor made sure she stated what the purpose of the meeting was and what the goal was at the beginning of the meeting.
Was everyone encouraged to speak? My supervisor was making sure that everyone was engaging and if they were not, she would question them directly.
Where there emotional moments? When the topic of vacation days was brought up, two of the members were upset as they did not agree on what was agreed on.
Part III: Personal Reflection
Do you feel the group was effective for the participants? Explain. I felt that the meeting was somewhat effective. The goal of the meeting was to discuss changes and vacation days for the month of july. DUe to one co-worker not fully engaging, I felt like some questions were left unanswered.
How could the group have been improved? I think it could have been improved if everyone fully participated and expressed their thoughts and opinions.
Compare/contrast this observed group with the one you currently attend for this course in terms of both academic insights and personal feelings. Compared to the groups that i am currently attending for this class, the group that I observed for this assignment was more task based as opposed to psychoeducational groups that i attend for class.
