i have included the instructions for the assignment in the files as well as the part a that i completed before. this assignment needs to be 3-4 pages 750-1000 words only and must include pictures as stated in the instructions. i need a turnitin report once this assignment is finished as well. i have included class notes that can be used for this assignment.
Please number your figures (e.g., Figure 1) with appropriate captions and refer to specific figures in text paragraphs, so the reader understands the connection and reason for intentionally adding the figure. A good figure caption describes the main idea(s) that a reader should see and obtain from a figure and connect with the text paragraphs. Strive to connect your specifically selected figures with your text descriptions and your text descriptions with your figures. Also attempt to connect your figures together in what they are representing.
Part B requires effectively describing the type of rock at your selected site. Therefore, simply including sedimentary, igneous, and metamorphic is not enough. Create a justification for the type of rock by applying what you have learned in this course (i.e. textural and compositional properties that contribute to your rock type, classification and place within the rock cycle?). Also please try to find and use a reference(s) that supports your justification. This would then convince the reader and show that you can apply what you have learned.
Include clear justifications about rock classifications. After reading your assignment, the reader should clearly understand your reasoning and compelling arguments.
Use clear figures to support the argument. Refer to these in text arguments and integrate them within assignment. Maybe you can show and describe some physical characteristics that support your identification and classification. And maybe labelling your figures may help the reader. And do you figures relate? Please literally help the reader.
Make a text-based argument supported with illustrations. For example, an image showing an adapted rock cycle without text descriptions is difficult for the reader to understand. If the reader cannot determine why you included a figure then please help the reader by better integrating your figure (image and figure caption) and text description (in paragraphs).
Follow the APA style for references, which includes proper use of in-text citations and lists of references. Figures from external sources should contain in-text citations in captions. A list of references should be at the end of document not in the middle. Please include sources of reliable information, referencing the original source of geologic information.
Focus on applying a unique adaptation of your chosen rock and chosen site. Use what you have learned and apply it to your site to create a unique compilation. There are useful answers to questions posed by students in the “Ask the Instructor” discussion board.”Unique mean one of a kind. That is because your rock and site are different than any other student. This is because the reader does not want to read a SSA that is general or can apply to numerous different rocks and/or sites, they want to know about yours. And “adapt” means modify or change or add so that it is fitting for your rock and site. Didn’t you learn about the rock cycle in class? Now please apply your knowledge to your rock so that the reader of your SSA Part B can understand the context and relationships of your rock.”
“Also, are you able to place your rock into this framework? If so, how would you convince the reader of yourassignment, where it is placed and what parts and processes are most important for your chosen rock, at your chosen site? As mentioned in the modules, the rock cycle can be considered a system. Can you create “a text-based argument that illustrates a clear understanding of systems thinking” (as mentioned in the instructions)?”
Please be clear and concise, only including the necessary information. Your compelling arguments should contain quality information and be concise.
