I have completed my case study. I have typed in verbatim each meeting in chapter four in an attempt to present the information in a chronological order. The professor made this comment: Discussion about what
happened i each PLC should be in Ch. 3 — this chapter is strictly about presenting data. I think that presenting data chronologically
will be difficult without cataloging the activities of each PLC.
Qualitative data is usually presented by
themes. In this chapter, you are leading
up to answering your RQs — that would be done by looking for data throughout
the study that backs up all or part of each RQ.
Your coding should take place
all at once, AFTER you’ve gathered all data; in coding it, you should be
looking for themes relative to your RQs.
Intro the data discussion by explaining
briefly how you reduced all your data to themes, followed by what themes
you found. Then discuss each theme,
presenting supporting data from all the tools throughout the study that support
that theme.
For example, if one theme is
that teachers value collaboration when certain elements are present: a
positive working environment, time, & ? (not sure of what else you
have, but these are evident up to this point.
what comments did participants make that support this — it could be
important to look at their comments chronologically & talk about how it
changed over time.

I would like help writing chapter four in a thematic format based on the information I have provided in my verbatim meetings using the citations I have in chapter two to support the claims. The themes must strive to answer the research questions that have been posed.
