This presentation will showcase your oral communication skills, so pay special attention to how you communicate your thoughts. Use PowerPoint as a visual aid. This aids in the audience’s understanding and influence of the information you are presenting. Specifically, you are encouraged to practice and write out a script or prepare slide notes so you have a good flow to your presentation. Since you are recording your presentation in a video format (not performing it live), you may want to anticipate possible questions and try to incorporate answers to those questions into your presentation, if possible.
Your presentation should include 12 to 15 slides. You will be graded on the effective design of your slides and presentation of the content. Act as a guide on a tour of your topic, sharing interesting information and visuals. Be sure to close the presentation with what you want your viewer to take away from it all.
