I have already written a rough draft for my individual. You are more than welcom

April 16, 2024

I have already written a rough draft for my individual. You are more than welcome to change it up however you’d like. I am not a great writer and I will submit these new three pages to my group. My partners have chosen- work conflict resolution, relationship conflict resolution, and family conflict resolution. For my personal topic i need to focus on frienship conflict resolution. I will show you what I have thus far but essentially we will combine all of theseinto one research paper. I have already provided you with two sources but feel free to add whatever. These were my instructions for the document I am submitting to you that i need help reworking.
You should begin your group presentation project by coordinating group work. Therefore, before any individual begins writing or researching, the group should come together to pick a group topic or theme. Examples include: managing conflict, offering support, finding love, or interpersonal communication at work.
Pick an individual topic that fits with the group’s theme. For instance, if the topic is conflict, each group member could focus on one tip for resolving conflict or each member could focus on conflict one type of interpersonal relationship (e.g., romantic, friendship, family). If the topic is support, each group member could focus on one element of support (e.g., advice, emotional support, reappraisal). If the topic is finding love, each member could focus on one stage of relationship development (e.g., making connections through social networks or dating sites, initial attraction, becoming exclusive, committing long-term). If the topic is interpersonal communication at work, half of the group could focus on effective communication and the other half could focus on ineffective communication. Your individual topic may be inspired by ideas from the textbook or lecture, but you will have to research and report information that dives more deeply into the specific topic (as opposed to simply restating information that you learned in class).
Find scholarly research. Once you have a topic, you should find TWO scholarly journal articles. Non-scholarly books, websites, newspaper articles, blogs, etc. are NOT allowed. You may use a conference paper if needed. A good starting point to find your scholarly articles is to search for the concept in the Communication and Mass Media Complete database on the library’s website (http://library.uky.edu > Click on “Database” tab > Type “Communication and Mass Media Complete” in search box and follow links). You may also find Google Scholar useful (http://scholar.google.com). Your articles must reflect your individual part of the group’s common theme.
Draft a paper. After you have thoroughly read your scholarly articles, draft a paper that addresses the following questions (2-3 pages, double-spaced, 12 pt. font, 1” margins) :
What is the topic of your individual paper? What are key definitions or background about the topic?
How/why is this topic relevant to college students?
What are two main take-aways about your topic that every college student should know? In other words, what is one main piece of information from each of your articles that college students would be interested to learn?
How does your specific topic relate to your group’s broader topic?
***Important note: It is imperative that you coordinate with your group members, so that this paper does not repeat important definitions, repeat identical arguments, or make identical points throughout the sections. This does not mean you cannot have similar ideas, but you should not repeat identical information. Two group members may use the same article for their individual sections but they must each draw unique information from the article.***
What to submit:
Full draft of the paper that addresses all four key points from bulleted list in #3 above.
APA-style in-text citations and reference list citations for your two scholarly journal articles (an APA title page, running head, and abstract are NOT required for this draft, but are encouraged for practice)
MY GROUP WILL FIGURE OUT HOW TO COMBINE THESE SO NO WORRIES ABOUT RELATING THESE TOPICS TOGETHER. I am only supposed to be focusing on riendship conflict resolution only!
these are your directions:
Submit a final draft of your INDIVIDUAL paper.  Your individual paper (2-3 pages, double-spaced, 12 pt. font, 1” margins) should contain:
A formal introduction that establishes the topic of your individual paper. What are key definitions or background about the topic? (1/2 page)
A paragraph about the relevance of the topic. How/why is this topic relevant to college students? (1/2 page)
Several paragraphs that highlight the main points of your paper. What are two main take-aways about your topic that every college student should know? In other words, what is one main piece of information from each of your articles that college students would be interested to learn? (1-1.5 pages)
A conclusion that restates your main points and makes connections to the group’s overall topic. How does your specific topic relate to your group’s broader topic? (1/2 page)
APA title page, page numbers, in-text citations, reference list (no abstract needed.
***Important note: You must coordinate with your group members so that this paper does not repeat important definitions, repeat identical arguments, or make identical points throughout the sections. This does not mean you cannot have similar ideas, but you should not repeat identical information. Two group members may use the same article for their individual sections, but they must each draw unique information from the article.***
