Selection of corporate company/enterprise
The company must have a worth of a minimum of 10 million dinar ( Kuwait currency).
It must have a minimum of 500 employees.
The company should be a profit-making enterprise in the Kuwaiti private sector.
Whatever company you select, get the approval from the instructor.
Areas to be Covered
1. Development and history
2. Basic profile
3. Strategic plans: mission, plans or possibilities for the future, possible objectives and action plans.
4. Clientele/Customers/Consumers: Who are they? What are their characteristics? How does the organization take a stock of it? What are the ways in which the organization is outreaching? Public relations and marketing strategies, approaches and tools used. Electronic outlets such as lists, directories, census reports, websites, etc.
5. Organizing and communication: Describe the organizational structure of the organization. How many levels does it have? Is it a centralized system or decentralized one? Indicate how communications flow through different levels of the organization? How does the departmentation take place? How do they communication across different levels? Which electronic communication channels are used?
6. Human resources: how many staff members does the organization have? What are their levels, roles and responsibilities? How do they select, recruit, develop and compensate their employees? What are the methods of staff performance evaluation? Any plans for human resource development? Nature and types of staff development? Using external and internal sources of training?
7. Information operations/services: what facilities does the company have? Describe any activities about databases, website, social media outlets, applications or any other ICT applications, archival activities, content management services, resources (human, physical or technological).
Please use the following guidelines for the conduct of the project:
1. Please have a general profile of the company on 1-2 pages. It will cover its brief history, nature of business, location, etc.
2. You may ask respective manager of the organization for this information. You may also use any documentation, websites, annual reports, etc. for your information.
3. Main body of the project will be about 4-5 page long. It will be double spaced, 12 size Time New Roman font, leaving the default margins of MS office.
4. Please include any appendices (documents from the organization).
5. Please include a 1-Pge log; indicating what activity did you do on a particular date.
