Select two countries to study. You might select countries where you are currently working or may work in the future, the countries of origin of current co-workers, or countries you are interested in and simply wish to know more.
Research and write a paper about the cultural differences between the two and how this could impact team effectiveness.
1. For the first half of the paper explore the differences between the two countries:
How does each country think about time? Manage conflict? Negotiate?
What does each country consider polite? Rude?
Feel free to add to this list or discuss different aspects.
2. For the second half of the paper explore the unique challenges you would face as the leader of such a cross-cultural team and how you might manage those differences to build an effective team.
