What were three possible strategies to promote recovery that would be appropriate to engage with Nic based on his stage of change at the time? OR
Nic’s attempts at rehabilitation and subsequent relapses have taken a toll on him personally. Research the personal impact of abuse (physical/psychological, social, legal, financial, vocational) and identify/describe these consequences in relation to Nic. What might be some recovery strategies that show promise for Nic? OR
Research the differences between the disease model and the harm reduction model. Incorporate the importance of stages of change/treatment in relation to successful recovery attempts. How do these models assist in understanding Nic’s road to recovery as described by himself and his family?
