–Choose a different character than you may be planning to use for your Term Paper. You may talk about more than one character, but provide at least one claim and reference per character (total three references, minimum). Do NOT focus on Critical Thinking for this essay.
SETTING
–Address both the “where” and the “when.” What is the significance of each?
POINT OF VIEW
–Who is telling the story overall? (Look at the first page and the last page.) How does the choice of narrator shape the effect of the book?
LANGUAGE
–Be sure to include direct quotes as your examples.
SYMBOL
–Choose one symbol and give three examples of its use, or choose three different symbols and illustrate the use of each. Be sure to clearly identify each symbol and explain what it stands for. Also be sure to include references that show that symbol in action.
