We have noted in our initial assessment that your previous academic performance is at McMaster University. This falls below our below our requirements for admission. Please upload a letter – no more than 250 words – documenting and describing the factors that may have affected your academic performance, how those factors had a negative impact on your studies, and what has changed since that leads you to believe you’ll find academic success at Laurier. please also confirm your registration status for Winter 2024. So right now i am in mcmaster university in the B.Tech Automation Eng program. I have been doinf really bad in my courses because I have lost so much motivation. I was a excellent student in high school with A’s in every course but since I came to uni, the transferring from high school to uni has been really hard for me to adapt. In addition, theres been a lot of personal situation at home that has also affected me. It involves my parents and a lot of things they’ve done. in addition, i was really pressurized to do good in school from my parents since forever and i have always tried to make them happy. but recently after what they did to me (made me breakup with my bf) and also physically assaulted me, i decided to in order for “payback” ill not do good in school. And then I also started hanging out with bad people which further motivated me less to do good in school. And my relationship was toxic too and it also affected me. i always try to make others happy but i wasn’t happy myself and thats why i decided to take some stress off by not doing anything. regretting it now i dont know why i didnt ask for help beucase i was too scared to tell anyone or open out to them. in addition my bestfriends outted me to others after i told them i was gay and that further made me hate everyone and do bad in school. i started skipping classes and stuff. plus i also have 3 jobs. i am doing them for experinence even though i dont need to do them. one of my job’s till 2am and its the commute that i can’t easily do. when my job ends at 2am, theres no way for me to get home and so i had to stay on campus till the morning for the busses to start running again. and that made my sleep schudule really really bad. i was admitted to laurier last year and that was my top choice but my parents didnt let me go there because they wanted to keep me close so they can keep an eye on me. i really like the campus feel and ive got a lot of friends at laurier. i also loved their programs and the laurier community as a whole. i applied to engineering and comp sci and those are what i was really interested in. am right now in b.tech automation eng and i didnt even want to do this program but my parents made me do it. i am a tech savvy person and love to code and thats why i wanted to take the porgrams at laurier. so yeah this is bascially my whole life story. theres more to it but idk wht to say anymore. i believe i can take additional online credits before joining laurier and i am going to end these jobs as they have been affecting me. and moving out from home might make me more responsible and give me time management skills that i really need. its also going to motivate me as my parents wont be there to always be the helicopter parent even though im 18. can you write a persuasive personal statement letter to laurier telling them what went wrong and how i can fix it. please
