Hi these are the details about the incident but i can give you information to make it supportive, after a period of time ive understood what i did wrong and plan to come back next semester with a better intentions, ive been working, preparing myself for football and thinking about which major fits me most, switching from business economics to physical education
After carefully reviewing all of the information presented at the hearing and based on your own admission, you have been found In-Violation for the following sections of SUNY Cortland’s Code of Student Conduct:
• A2. Entry and Use of Facilities. Unauthorized entry to or unauthorized or improper use of a College private room, building, structure, vehicle, or facility.
• C4. Reckless Endangerment. Taking any action that creates a substantial risk such that bodily harm could result to any person. These include but are not limited to: a. Objects or people on window ledges.
In the hearing, you admitted to jumping out a residence hall window and onto a rooftop platform. You were on deferred suspension at the time of the incident.
After carefully reviewing all of the information presented at the hearing and based on your own admission, you have been found In-Violation for the following sections of SUNY Cortland’s Code of Student Conduct:
• B3. Failure to Comply. c. Violation of disciplinary probation or deferred suspension
• B7. Drug Policy. Students may not use, possess, distribute or be knowingly in the presence of cannabis, tetrahydrocannabinol derivatives, narcotics or other controlled substances except as expressly permitted by law. Any drug-related violation of College policy will be considered a violation of the Drug Policy. Further, conduct related to the use of drugs where the individual becomes a disruption to the community is prohibited.
• B9. Drug Paraphernalia. Any items that can be utilized for or are designed for the use of drugs (e.g., bowls, bongs, etc.) are not allowed on campus property. Any items that are fashioned for the purpose of drug use will also be considered a violation of this policy.
In the hearing, you admitted to smoking marijuana while you were on Deferred Suspension
Alcohol and Other Drug Evaluation: You must complete an Alcohol and Other Drug Evaluation at an OASIS Certified facility or a private OASIS Certified evaluator. You are further required to complete all recommended treatment/courses of action. Verification of completion of the evaluation as well the evaluation outcome must be submitted to Student Conduct no later than May 31, 2021. Verification of completion of all recommended treatment must be submitted no later than one week after completion. Please see the attached form for further instructions.
Reflection Paper: You are to write a reflection paper on your own actions, personal decision making and your detailed plan for success of at least 4 pages to be turned into this office by May 31, 2021. This essay must be typed in 12 point Times New Roman font, with one inch
margins, and double-spaced. Please include a cover page with your name, the date, and the title of the paper (your cover page does not count as a page of your paper). Please keep in mind that only college level work will be accepted as a satisfactory completion of this sanction. In addition to content, proper grammar, correct spelling, sentence structure, and cohesive organization of thought will be taken into account.
