Hello the assignment instruction is below but I do not have to do the entire parts. My part of the assignment is finding the latest news on our topic using goggle news search. All News must be from the past 8 months.
There have been some changes please read below:
With your group, you will collect at least 9 sources total about your chosen digital media topic, or, if you want, 12 sources/links to earn 🍀 extra credit (10 points per person).
For independent work, you will collect 12 sources total (*the additional 3 sources for the crowdsource links) or 15 sources/links total for the 🍀 extra credit opportunity (10 points).
Since this is a current events newsletter, each link should be to something published within the last 8 months and come from a news publication or professional media organization. Someone’s personal opinion in a blog post would not qualify. Well-researched content and journalism qualifies! If you’re not sure if a source is trustworthy or qualifies for this assignment, please reach out to me and ask. Look for current events and the latest news!
If you’re working alone, there is an additional requirement for this project:
Reach out to your community and crowdsource 3 additional links to add to your newsletter. Try and find links that you otherwise wouldn’t be aware of. If you have a community on social media that you interact with, consider asking for suggestions from them. Make sure that you explain your newsletter topic to your community and choose links that relate to it. Indicate which links were crowdsourced in your newsletter submission, and provide screenshots of your call for recommendations and some responses.
For each interesting link that you find, you’ll write 3–5 sentences about why it is interesting, how it relates to your newsletter topic, and why your audience should consider reading/watching/listening to it.
You’ll work together with your team members to write a minimum 8 sentence introduction to the newsletter, which should provide your overall thoughts and a summary of what you found.
Finally, you’ll also write a conclusion, where you provide advice or a call to action for your readers who are interested in getting involved or learning more. The conclusion should be at least one paragraph, or 4 complete sentences. The conclusion should also include an authors section with each of your names, a little bit of information about you (major, career, portfolio if you have one), and your Twitter or LinkedIn profile if you feel comfortable sharing it.
