INTRODUCTION: Provide a brief introduction on what your paper will cover. (Clear Thesis Statement)

WRITING YOUR REFLECTION
Diversity Awareness
Describe the first time you became aware of diversity, whether about yourself or about others. (Here, explain what happened that raised awareness, how old you were, where were you when it happened [i.e., the social context], as well as any other relevant information that helps to explain the recognition of your awareness.) After recognizing your awareness, how did you respond to it? Explain.

Select any TWO (2) dimensions of diversity (see Bucher, page 25) that are currently most salient to you and address the following questions for each dimension
What in particular about this dimension relates to the issue of diversity? What specific experiences have you had with the dimension to illustrate issues surrounding diversity? Explain.

Diversity Consciousness
Based on the definition of diversity consciousness from Bucher (32), how would you describe your current level of diversity consciousness? What type(s) of diversity education have you experienced to raise your consciousness? Relatedly, what diversity skills have you learned and/or practiced enhancing your diversity consciousness? What challenges have you experienced in your attempt(s) to enhance your diversity consciousness? If you feel you have not made any attempt to enhance your diversity consciousness, what do you feel you would have to do to begin your development of such consciousness? Explain.

CONCLUSION: In reflecting about diversity consciousness, what have you learned about yourself? Explain. What have you learned about others? How do you think this class has helped you think about diversity? Explain.
