Given the Aircraft Maintenance Hangar Project Details, create the following project documents:
Planning – The Project Budget access the Resources tab and read the text Chapters 5 and 8, and view the LinkedIn Learning course on Budgets. You will see the following two deliverables in 5.1:
Apportion Method Budget (Fig. 5.1)
Time Phased Budget (like the one in Fig. 8.16; except use months instead of weeks)
Total Budget = $12,000,000
The information in the parenthesis refers to figures in our textbook in which the authors walk you through a sample project. To create the Apportion Method Budget (like Fig. 5.1), to me the easiest way is to use Excel. Once you create a spreadsheet, click Insert > SmartArt > Click Hierarchy > and choose the first diagram in the top left. Excel will make the boxes for you, you just have to tell it what you need in each box.
To create the Time Phased Budget (like Fig 8.16), Excel is probably your best friend here as well. You can create the Time Phased Budget using MONTHS instead of WEEKS as shown in Fig. 8.16. Check the rubric also – and see that the Apportion Method Budget is 15 pts and the Time Phased Budget is 85 pts, which probably tells you that the Time Phased Budget is a bit more complex.
It is always good idea to include some narrative about what you did and your findings, versus just dropping in some charts. This is especially true if you make a calculation error because I can tell where you made an error and if you understand the topic. Remember: Show me that you understand the concepts.
