I would strongly agree that there is very strong sense of validity in explain juvenile delinquency that somehow does factor into the development of neuroscience because there is a connection between juvenile delinquency and behaviors throughout a person’s development. Technically the proper age to state that juveniles liable to face actions of a crime is typically around 15 and I would agree that this is in fact a great age to state that a juvenile is culpable for their actions. Developing brain research often suggests that juveniles often times overvalue social acceptance and are then more likely to allow things such as social feedback to affect their thoughts, feelings and even their decision making (Moffitt, Terrie E. 1990). The field of criminology has generally approached the study of the neurobiological bases of delinquency and crime by relying on indirect indicators of neural activity . Moreover, I believe that a juveniles developmental context displays a huge role in their legal culpability and should defintely be considered in court.
