Introduction and Conclusion: Your introduction should present your research question and
your paper’s answer to this question (aka your thesis). Obviously this part will have to be written
after you complete the rest of the paper so that you know what your finding actually is.
Your conclusion should discuss the findings of your case studies and what they suggest about
the validity of the theories you tested. In your conclusion, discuss areas for further research and
possible improvements that you would make (assuming resources and the knowledge of other
approaches).
Literature Review: Your literature review should present at least three distinct theories that all
offer an explanation for your research question. The goal here is to fairly present these
arguments. Include internal debates or advances within each theory, for example if one of your
theories is that electoral systems affect party systems, explain Duverger’s Law and more recent
corrections to it that other authors have made. You must include multiple sources representing
each theory, do not rely on a single author for a theory. Only use scholarly sources for the
literature review like peer-reviewed journal articles or books.
Case Studies: These case studies are intended to test the theories presented in the literature
review. You should tell the relevant history of the cases with special attention to the factors from
the literature review. The cases should illustrate how much or little each theory influenced how
each case turned out.
Your cases should be chosen logically, based on your research question. Your paper should
explain what cases you’ve selected and some justification for why you chose these specific
cases. This can either be done in the introduction or in a separate section before the case
studies themselves
Basically need you to add on and fix this up.
