For your Module 3A Journal Entry, reflect on what you’ve learned in this unit. Has learning about careers that require a bachelor’s degree increased or decreased how likely to try to find a full-time job after graduation? What did you learn in this module that has influenced how you think about employment after college?
I hope it is clear from the resources in this module (plus what your advisors and professors have been telling you) that a degree in psychology prepared you for a variety of different jobs. After reviewing the list of potential jobs psychology majors get, are you surprised by how many options there are? Why or why not? Were there any jobs on any of the lists your reviewed that surprised you (i.e., things you didn’t realize you might be qualified to do)?
In our next module we are doing to talk about different types of masters degrees that psychology majors get. Before you start that module, spend a little time in this journal entry talking about whether you think you want to go to graduate school. Be sure to discuss why you do or do not intend to continue your education. Did anything you learned in this module affected your decision to go to graduate school? If so, please discuss.
