For your last-ever BUS 205 assignment, it’s time to put all that job search, resume, and cover letter writing in
context and start thinking about your interview. The following are ten frequently asked questions in interviews.
Beneath each, I have put in a bit of information to help you better understand the intent of the question.
Keep in mind, normal interviews for college graduates have a lot more questions. I just want you to get thinking
about the types of questions and how you might formulate a response that makes you fly ahead of the
competition.
Pay close attention to this: You must relate it to the things you’ve already put in your resume and cover
letter. You are welcome to use anything to help you respond (even ChatGPT) although you won’t have that
option in a real interview. And, as I just said, you still need to use real examples from your resume. Honestly, it’s
faster and easier just to reply without it, but I want to give you that option if you need some help.
So, even with a lot of online help, you will still need to customize your response to be personal. For example, a
reply to the first question “tell me about yourself” should include a bit of information regarding who you are and
what you’ve done so far. I should be able to quickly look at your resume and tie your response to what you’ve
put in the resume. This is often the first question and can be incredibly critical to get right. It sets the tone for
the rest of the interview.
Tell me about yourself (200 words or more)
This is a common opener where the interviewer wants to get a brief overview of your background,
education, and relevant experiences.

experience here a lot!)
This question aims to understand your interest and commitment to your field of studv.

This tests your self-awareness and honesty, as well as how you plan to improve your weaknesses.
Where do you see ourself in 5 years? (100 words)
The interviewer wants to understand your career aspirations and if you have long-term goals that
align with the company.
