For this last assignment, you need to assess where you’ve landed with your reading, writing, and research experience and skills after completing this course.
This is the second of two course reflections. We completed the Start of Course Reflection at the beginning of this course. You should go back and reference your Start of Course Reflection as you write this one.
Just as you did with the Start of Course Reflection, you will write this reflection in the form of a formal letter. In this letter, you should detail your experience in the course and reflect on how you practiced and progressed with your reading, writing, and research skills.
You should reflect on whether your views have changed about what you like/dislike about reading, writing, and research (go back to what you identified in your Start of Course Reflection). Do you still feel the same? Do you feel different? If so, why?
Additionally, you should revisit any consistent reading, writing, and researching issues you identified in your Start of the Course Reflection and explore if you faced these issues in this class and how you dealt with them.
And lastly, similar to the Start of the Course Reflection, you should include examples. Your examples can be snippets of your course work, or discussion of how you tackled a specific assignment or challenge in the course.
Your examples could also be examples from other courses you’re taking and work you’re doing in those courses. You may also include any examples of personal reading, writing, and researching that you’ve done throughout the course. As with the Start of the Course Reflection, you can put these examples in the appendix of your letter or you can discuss them in the body text of your letter.
