For this culminating assessment, you will compose a 2-page essay that captures your curiosity and passion about one universal question. You will make a connection to three self-selected credible sources to support your findings. In addition, you will engage in both a small group and full-class discussion in which you will share your research question and findings.
This project is the culminating measure of your ability to investigate sources, discover the significance of a universal question, and share your knowledge in a creative way. I. Written Component Specifications Your essay should include the following: a thesis statement that identifies your universal question, narrows your focus, and shapes the essay support for your findings from three self-selected credible sources your own thoughts about the significance of your universal question a clear organization/structure determined by the essay’s content, including an appropriate introduction and conclusion appropriate attention to language, diction, syntax, and conventions Annotated Bibliography:
You will include an annotated bibliography that includes all three of your credible sources. Step One: Brainstorm and Research You will select a universal question to explore, either one you generate yourself or one that you develop from a list of possible ideas. When you have your question, you will explore the significance of it by Developing a research proposal using three self-selected sources. We will use the PISD Library Databases of Digital Resources as a starting point for finding good sources. DO NOT use Wikipedia, Quora, Ask or other similar sites. They are NOT CREDIBLE.
