Some information from book that can be referenced:
Leadership is the discipline and art of guiding, directing, motivating, and inspiring a group toward achieving a common goal. A great leader requires many components, such as managing people and information, committing to goals and energy, engaging with others and activities, and using power wisely. Leading in nursing is about more than just guiding others toward a desired outcome. It’s about using good judgment, wise decision-making, and knowledge, but above all, it’s about being an advocate. A leader in nursing is a voice for health and dignity, empowering others and taking responsibility for their well-being. (Marshall & Broome, 2021, p.14) As future healthcare leaders, it is important to be a trailblazer because we are the new leaders of our generation. We will lead change to generate human talent and resources to innovate and improve care. (Marshall & Broome, 2021, p.46)
