For this assignment, you will create one of the lesson plans for the unit you are designing.
Task #1:
Complete a full day-by-day calendar for your unit.
While you will only be completing 3-5 daily, subsequent lesson plans, each unit plan should span at least two weeks (unless we’ve discussed an exception). The calendar will provide an outline of what each day of the unit might look like.

Task #2:
Complete ONE lesson plan from your unit and incorporate the following components into your lesson plan:
Lesson title
specify number of lesson or day within unit
Content area and grade level
Lesson objective(s) or essential questions
bulleted or numbered format
what you expect students to learn from lesson
Florida BEST Standards
bulleted or numbered format
write out FL Standards code and verbiage that correlate to your lesson
Materials Needed
bulleted or numbered format
list all materials and texts needed for lesson
if only using a portion of a text include page numbers as well
include copies of any handouts, worksheets, assessments, etc…
please also include links to media (Youtube videos, websites used, etc).
Procedures
bulleted or numbered format WITH time estimated for each activity (including an anticipatory set/hook and closure)
explain step-by-step what you and the students will do during lesson to accomplish stated objectives
include and italicize teacher questions and questions you anticipate students might have as well as your possible response(s)
Assessment: (Pre and post-Assessment and daily assessments)
explain what you will ask students to do to determine if they have learned what you stated in lesson objectives
Leveled ESOL Accommodations
explain how you will support ESOL students SPECIFICALLY related to the tasks of this lesson. That means no general statements like, “ESOL students will be able to use dictionaries”
use leveled ESOL accommodations (i.e. identify accommodations for beginner, intermediate, and advanced ESOL students)
for example, if students are going to be constructing thesis statements during the lesson, you might include the following ESOL accommodation: “Provide a writing frame for the thesis statement write up. Provide sentence frames and vocabulary bank within the writing frame to organize sentence construction.”
Resources:
Because you are only crafting 3-5 lessons (they should be subsequent), you can choose at which point during your unit you’d like to you start your lessons. For example, you might craft the first 4 lesson plans of the unit, Days #1-4. Or, you might focus on the specific lesson plans for the end of the unit. Or, you might choose a span of 4 lesson plans in the middle of your unit.
