In your presentation you must include the following information:
Explain the relationship of force vectors in a turn.
Give an example based on the relationship between load factor and bank angle using the ‘bank angle to G relationship’ formula from the text.
Show examples of how stall speed changes under elevated G-forces/bank using the formula ‘stall speed under elevated G/bank’ from the text.
Interpret the V-G diagram (you can use the diagram provided in the text) and discuss aircraft maneuvering limitations.
Discuss radius versus rate of turn and give examples of each using the formulas for turn rate and turn radius from the text. How do they change with an increase in velocity? Discuss the difference between turn rate and radius and how they change with speed and how this can be applied practically to flight and operational safety.
Discuss the influence of aircraft design characteristics on maneuvering performance. This can range from STOL aircraft to jets. Several examples are slow aircraft maneuvering in the mountains, aerobatic aircraft, fighter jets maneuvering in a dogfight, etc. Get creative!
Do not simply provide equations and examples; discuss these topics and their practical application to flight and operational safety.
For these examples, round your math to the nearest whole number and be sure to include units.
