For this assignment you are to apply Hare’s model of psychopathy to your own experience. To get started: Think of some of the worst people you personally know. Who stands out? They may come from high school or college, a coworker or boss, a relative, a neighbor, or even an ex-boyfriend/girlfriend. They may or may not have a criminal record but in your experience they are not to be trusted.
Once you have identified a specific person, consider the characteristics laid out by Hare (1994), and how well they match what you know about the person. Prepare a 4-5 page paper in which you describe some background info about the person (demographics, how you know them, etc), and then describe them in terms of the characteristics of psychopathy, covering emotional/interpersonal and social deviance. Be sure to disguise their real name.
Provide examples of the person’s behavior or statements they have made that back up the points of similarity. Also, be sure to mention areas where the characteristics don’t fit. Close your paper with a summary of the main points and your sense of how well they fit what Hare describes.
You do not need to have a reference page but you must cite source(s) in APA format. The paper must be double spaced, in 12 point Times New Roman font, and have 1’’ margins on all sides.
Note: I am a college student so don’t choose someone youv’e known for lke over 20 years or a boss/ex who you’ve had for over 10 years. Try to make it on like an old high school friend/ex or a neighbor/relative
