Part 1 – Short Answer: Write roughly one paragraph in response to 2 of the 4 questions below. Identify each using the corresponding numbers below. 50 points each, 100pts total.

3. Revisiting TVIV: Return to unit 2’s coverage of TV’s four eras. Explain how content from subsequent units elucidates the qualities of TVIV with greater depth. Cite specific concepts or terms that demonstrate TVIV beyond the overview provided in unit 2.
4. Authorship Revolution: Explain how TV has morphed from a one-to-many medium to a (somewhat) many- to-many medium. Consider discussing uses of interactivity, social media integration, game adaptations, user-generated content, fan communities, fan artwork/criticism, among others. Refer to Butler’s Chapter 1 for a refresher on the one-to-many, broadcast era. Cite specific units in your answer.

For your final essay, write a critical formal analysis of the streaming-era show of your choosing*. You must utilize content from a minimum of 2 of the 5 units highlighted above. Refer to and make use of specific terms and concepts from the readings and lectures. In addition to examining formal qualities, you must also incorporate at least one concept from any of the units on streaming-era phenomena (i.e., most units).
