For the Persuasive Charity speech, you are required to research a social problem that you are interested in changing/solving. Examples may include child cancer, drugs, person(s) impacted by violence (e.g., domestic violence), etc. Once you have chosen a problem, research charity organizations (local, state, national, or international). You will be persuading (convincing) the audience that the social problem is one worth our attention and convincing the audience to support a charity organization that addresses the problem.
What is required:
For this assignment, you are required to submit 2 different social problems and 2 charities that address each social problem, respectively.
Provide a one-two sentence rationale for each social problem, explaining why you chose that problem and one sentence identifying a charity organization that addresses the social problem.

You must also write a policy proposition thesis statement. To do this, you will want to use the following format.
State something about the social problem (e.g., how many people are impacted by the problem), then state that this is the reason the audience SHOULD (use the word should in the statement) support the _____________ charity organization and then state the charity organization’s mission.
