For Part Two of the project, you will discuss how math could be used to analyze your scenario and to propose a solution. For Part Three, you will reflect on the importance of data analysis to make informed decisions. You can use the Project Resources in the Supporting Materials section. You may add charts/diagrams, but they are not required and do not count toward the required page count. Complete this assignment using the Module Five Project Draft Template linked in the What to Submit section.
Specifically, you must address the following rubric criteria:
Analyze your scenario for specific mathematical techniques that will guide your approach to the scenario’s solution.
What techniques from the book, homework, or supporting materials will guide your approach to your scenario’s solution?
Identify mathematical problems associated with your chosen scenario that could be answered with various forms of data visualization.
Consider questions related to possible trends, patterns, comparisons of different groups, etc.
Describe how you would solve the problem(s).

Use descriptive statistics to summarize the characteristics of the data.
Analyze the data for your scenario to identify important pieces of information.
Calculate a cost-benefit analysis to examine any relationship between the subject of your scenario and various outcomes, e.g., financial impacts, health impacts, or social impacts.
SENARIO
You are concerned by the rising prices of fresh produce and want to encourage healthy eating in your area. You notice that a local middle school has an undeveloped area of land that could be used for a community garden. You decide to research the benefits of community gardens to present at a school board meeting. In preparation for the presentation, you will investigate the advantages of community gardens that are environmentally friendly and economically viable. While preparing for the meeting, you will collect data that relates to long-term environmental, economic, and social well-being. This will include evaluating the costs and benefits of creating and maintaining a community garden.

Although you will refer to the sources in the Project Resources document, you will not refer to any sources from outside this course. All sources used, including those provided or student-sourced, should be cited in APA style.
