Follow-Up Letter
Writing thank-you letters is an important follow-up activity for business travelers. In this exercise, you will edit and key a thank-you letter.
Key a thank-you letter from the rough draft (This means it has mistakes and needs to be corrected) shown below using Microsoft Office Word and proper letter formatting (see notes).
Correct the grammar and punctuation mistakes. Revise the letter as needed to make it clear and concise. Use formal letter, block letter style, and the current date. Assume the letter will be printed on company letterhead.
Remember:
Use correct margins. 1″ around.
Use correct returns we have learned..
Enter 5 times and type date.
Enter 4 times and type inside address.
Enter 2 times and type salutation. Only address with Ms. or Mrs or Dr., etc. Only use colons after greeting.
Enter 2 times after saluation and between paragraphs.
Enter 2 times after last paragraph and type closing. Only use commas after closing. i.e. Sincerely,
Enter 4 times and type name, enter 1 time and type title.
Enter 2 times and type your initials (ap…only two initials and lowercase) if YOU typed the letter for someone else.
Enter 2 times and type Enclosure if you have something enclosed.
