This assignment requires you to specifically discuss the impact of substance use disorders.
You will utilize all modules in this assignment. You are all aware of how the brain is involved with individuals behaviors, use this knowledge in your responses. Remember the focus is impact meaning how is the individual who is the substance user, the family, and the community effected by SUD’s. This paper should take into consideration the needs of special populations such as neonates, children, and older adults as well as cultural and racial considerations. More often than not, an addict/alcoholic will also have a co-occurring mental health diagnosis(es), how does this play out? Impact is the key word. Just a reminder from your early school years, making an outline will help you to include everything you need to follow as well as keeping the flow of the paper running smooth.

related considerations. Considered impacts for person, family, community, and country. Considered
child welfare, criminal justice, health care system, productivity and the workplace in general. Provided a
gaps analysis (What is missing? What more can be done? What more should be done?) and cost benefit analysis (what does it cost to provide services for those with addictions versus the cost of doing nothing?). Clearly stated the economic implications of SUD’s.
