Final: Reflection Essay (200 points)
You’ve just finished your last essay! Now it’s time to reflect on what you’ve learned in this class over the past 16 weeks.  Reflection in an integral part of education and learning, so please take some time to reflect on your experience in this class.
Here are some of the major things that we did this semester:
1) Essay 1: How Do You Learn?
2) Essay 2: Argument—you got to choose your own topic.
3) Essay 3: Literary Analysis
4) Essay 4: Causal Analysis—you also got to choose your own topic.
5) Stephen King—read On Writing, discuss with a group, and post discussion notes on the class discussion board.
Now, having thought about the things we did, write a three-page reflection paper. The paper should be typed, double-spaced, and in MLA format.  There are no specific things that you have to write about; however, you may want to consider and address some of the following:
1) What are some of the strengths of your writing?
2) What are some areas that you’d like to improve?
3) Think about the class assignments and readings that you’ve done over the semester.  Write about what you learned regarding how to write a successful research paper in the future.
4) Think about reading King’s memoir and working with your group. Did you enjoy the book? What did you like about it? What did you dislike about it? How was your group? Were they easy to work with? Challenging or flakey?
5) Imagine another student asked you about what to expect in this class.  What would you say?
Essentially, this paper should be about anything you want (related to this class). It’s your opportunity to reflect upon and write about your journey over the past 16 weeks. This should NOT be merely a summary of what you did. Again, it should be reflective.
Do NOT spend too much time on this. I suggest 30-45 minutes. Once you’re done, just like King suggest, set it aside and go do something. Then, come back, read and edit it. Please do NOT turn in a paper littered with mistakes because that WILL affect your grade. The other thing that will affect your grade is length. Make sure this reflection is THREE FULL PAGES—no less and no more! Good luck. Have fun. It was a pleasure being your guide!
The reflection is due at the last class meeting. You must turn in your printed reflection in person. NO LATE PAPERS WILL BE ACCEPTED.
