( Please check the attachment for the list of topics) An individual paper will consist of a maximum 2,500-word essay plus an MLA-style bibliography. You must choose a topic from the list provided. When choosing a topic, your paper should:
Contribute to a deeper understanding of the subject Address a thought-provoking question, issue, or situation of current or future importance Not be overly broad or too narrow in scope Not be merely descriptive of an issue, situation, or event You should ensure their work demonstrates:
Professional style and presentation (tone, format, grammar) Structural organization (introduction, body, conclusion) Clear thesis statement (well-focused, succinct) Knowledge and research (deeper understanding of the topic) Critical thinking and analysis (well-formulated, coherent arguments) Appropriate use of sources (suitable, relevant, current materials)
