Paper Requirements
This six-page paper aims to explore the significance of leadership in Sport Governance and analyze how personal leadership styles, particularly utilizing CliftonStrengths, can positively influence the effectiveness of a sport organization. The paper will integrate key leadership principles, insights from the Strengths Based Leadership resource from the Modules, and personal experiences to provide a concise yet comprehensive overview.
Using the information from this course (text, videos, other articles and materials) and at least five (5) additional external resources, you will write a paper addressing the following:
Introduce by discussing why leadership is important in Sport Governance. Emphasize the importance of aligning leadership style and strengths with the unique demands of sport governance.
Identify and succinctly describe your personal leadership style. Discuss how your leadership style aligns with effective governance in sports organizations.
Describe the relevance of your strengths in shaping effective leadership in your sport organization. (Note: If you are not currently employed with a sport organization, how would your leadership style benefit a sport organization or your current employer?) Illustrate how you could apply your strengths to overcome challenges or enhance opportunities in sport governance. Be sure to include personal or professional anecdotes and experiences as well as your reflections from the Strength-based Leadership Resource integrated in Modules 1-5. 
Summarize key findings and insights from the paper.
Your paper must be 6 pages (not including Title Page or References Page).
It is important that you work on the paper throughout the entire course. Modules 1-5 will contain reflections specific to your strengths and leadership, and you can use the SM 540: Strengths-Based Leadership Journal to collect your thoughts.

Paper Expectations:
You are required to connect the project requirements to the concepts you are learning in the course. This includes reflection and analysis of your CliftonStrengths® assessment results as presented in Modules 1-5 in the Strengths-based Leadership sections and the SM 540: Strengths-Based Leadership Journal.
It is expected you will develop and submit your own original work and appropriately cite any external sources used, including references to specific class material (e.g., readings, videos, lectures, handouts), both in text and in a separate references section in APA Style 7th edition.
Your documents must demonstrate professionalism (style and format), proper mechanics (word choice, grammar, punctuation), and adequate structure and organization (headings, etc.). As you will read below, there is an expectation that you will have your draft reviewed by external resources provided.
Have a paper length of 6 pages of quality content. This does not include the Title Page and Reference Page.  
Be clear and contain quality writing. Writing must be articulated, demonstrate professionalism (style and format), proper mechanics (word choice, grammar, punctuation) and adequate structure and organization (flow and transition of ideas).
Be formatted as double-spaced and written in APA style. It is important to properly refer to in-text citations, quotations, and include a short list of references at the end.
